Journal of Graduate Medical Education December 2011 Issue Now Available

CHICAGO, January 3, 2012 – The December 2011 issue of the Journal of Graduate Medical Education (JGME) is now available online, and the print edition is being mailed this week. Program directors and designated institutional officials can access the table of contents and full text articles via the “Tools/Reference” section in the Accreditation Data System (ADS), which will transfer them to the JGME website.

ACGME accepting nominations for 2013 awards

CHICAGO, February 8, 2012 – The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) is accepting nominations for its 2013 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach, Parker J. Palmer Courage to Lead, David C. Leach, GME Institutional Coordinator Excellence and GME Program Coordinator Excellence Awards.

ACGME Board approves nominations of three new directors

CHICAGO, February 14, 2012 – Three new directors have joined the Board of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The Board approved their nominations at its February meeting.

Four senior vice presidents to join ACGME

CHICAGO, February 21, 2012 – Four senior vice presidents will join the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the ACGME Board of Directors announced at its February 7 meeting. The senior vice presidents will each lead ACGME staff and Review Committees focused on one of four accreditation areas: hospital-based accreditation, institutional accreditation, medical accreditation, and surgical accreditation.
