David L. Brown, M.D., is the Chair of the Anesthesiology Institute at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Brown received his MD degree from the University of Minnesota, and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, in San Antonio, Texas.  Dr. Brown is a director of the American Board of Anesthesiology, and is also certified in pain medicine by the ABA. 

He has served as Chair of the Residency Review Committee for Anesthesiology, as well as Chair of the Pain Advisory Committee for the ACGME. He has served as President of the Association of University Anesthesiologists and as Editor-in Chief of the journal, Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.  He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a board member of the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research.
