Mahendr S. Kochar, M.D., M.A.C.P., is the former professor of medicine and pharmacology/toxicology, and the senior associate dean for graduate medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He currently serves as the associate dean for graduate medical education at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. Dr. Kochar earned his medical degree at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
He completed his residency in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, and his fellowships in clinical pharmacology and nephrology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He also has an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a master's degree in pharmacology from the Medical College of Wisconsin and a JD from the Concord Law School. Dr. Kochar is a past chair of the board of Governors of the American College of Physicians, as well as the co-author and editor of the Concise Textbook of Medicine. |
