Timothy M. Goldfarb, MHA, is chief executive officer of Shands HealthCare, which is affiliated with the University of Florida Health Science Center in Gainesville, Florida. Prior to joining Shands HealthCare in 2001, Mr. Goldfarb was director of University Hospitals and Health Care System from 1987 to 2001. He chaired the boards of the University Health System Consortium, the Association of American Medical Colleges Council of Teaching Hospitals, the Oregon Hospital Association the Florida Hospital Association.

Mr. Goldfarb has a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's in health services administration, both from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona.
