The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education published the ACGME Bulletin quarterly between 1983 and spring of 2009. The Bulletin was distributed free of charge to more than 12,000 individuals in residency education. The Bulletin included original articles, practical descriptions, commentaries and letters to the editors and updates from the ACGME. Its aim was to further dialogue about accreditation, program quality and matters of general interest in residency education. The final issue was published in the spring of 2009, when the Bulletin was transformed into the peer-reviewed Journal of Graduate Medical Education.
