Laurence M. Russell, MD

Laurence M. Russell, MD is a board certified Family Physician with 29 years of experience as a family physician, residency educator, and medical administrator. Dr Russell received his Bachelor of Science degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1972. His residency training in Family Medicine was received at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey, where he remains a staff member emeritus.


Dr Russell was assistant director of the Family Medicine Residency of the Hunterdon Medical Center from 1979 to 1994. He was also Chairman of the Dept. of Family Medicine at the Hunterdon Medical Center during that time. More recently Dr. Russell was a Medical Director for the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.


Current affiliations include the American Academy of Family Medicine (since 1975), American Medical Association (since 1975), New Jersey Medical Society (since 1975) and American College of Physician Executives (since 1994). He was a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine from 1980 to 1998.


Dr. Russell joined the Accreditation Field Staff of the ACGME in April, 2005 and has conducted 207 site visits.


He resides in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
