HIPAA Compliance Documents
ACGME requires that each sponsoring institution that is a covered entity submit to ACGME on or before April 20, 2005 an executed amended BAA between the sponsoring institution and ACGME. A new Representation need not be executed or sent to ACGME. Posted on this website page are HIPAA Compliance Documents: (1) ACGME HIPAA FAQs – March 2005, which contains a discussion of the ACGME Amended BAA 2005 and of the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules relating to ACGME; (2) the ACGME Amended BAA 2007; (3) a short memo from ACGME counsel describing the changes to the ACGME BAA 2003 incorporated in the ACGME Amended BAA 2005; and (4) the Representation form.
