Call for Abstracts *Topic Expansion and Deadline Extension*
The ACGME invites abstract submissions for poster presentation at its 2010 annual conference, “Transitions in GME.” The conference will be held March 4-7, 2010, at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee.
The topics for this year’s poster session have been expanded to include:
- Innovation in Transitions of Care
- Teaching and Assessing the General Competencies
- Using the Milestones to Guide Program Improvement
- Innovations in the Learning Environment
The deadline has been extended to December 1, 2009. All abstracts must be submitted by this date to be considered.
Criteria for Selection: Abstracts must include all sections to be considered.
- Background: clearly articulated context for project of research study including relevant literature
- Objective: substantive; clearly stated purpose of the project or research study
- Methods: clear description of how the project was conducted and/or
implemented, with sound and appropriate design
- Results/Outcomes/Improvements: clear and unambiguous statement of what changed and how
- Significance: implications of the project beyond the local setting
All accepted poster presenters are required to register for the conference.
The ACGME does not endorse any products or services provided by outside vendors. Therefore, promotions are not allowed at the conference.
