The ACGME will offer a pre-conference on resident supervision in conjunction with its annual conference in Nashville, Tennessee in March 2010. The pre-conference is the next step in examining the learning environment in which residents train to ensure that they receive appropriate supervision at each level of training.  Graded responsibility is essential in allowing residents to become competent physicians who are capable of providing excellent patient care.  Speakers will include experts from the GME community who will examine the current challenges in our system and representatives from programs who have developed innovative ways to achieve these goals.
