CHICAGO, June 17, 2005 – Informative handouts and slide presentations from the ACGME 2005 Annual Educational Conference have been compiled on an easy-to-use CD-ROM for use by program directors, designated institutional officials, and anyone else involved in graduate medical education.
The CD-ROM has PowerPoint slide presentations and handouts from many of the 67 educational sessions offered at the conference, which was held March 3-5 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla. The disk includes slides and handouts on the accreditation process, preparing for a site visit, the ACGME Outcome Project, the resident survey, and many other topics.
The CD-ROM also has the slides from the keynote speeches, given by Brenda Zimmerman, PhD, associate professor of strategy and policy at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, and Paul Griner, MD, a senior fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Boston.
The CD-Rom was mailed free to all conference attendees. Additional copies are available for $25.00. To order a disk, go to the ACGME Web site, www.acgme.org and click on “Meetings and Workshops” and then “2005 Educational Conference Presentations.”
