Parker J. Palmer Teacher Award Recipients 2003

The ACGME is proud to introduce the eleven recipients of the 2003 Parker J. Palmer "Courage to Teach" Award. Besides the usual ten recipients, this year includes a recently retired program director, Henry Schultz, MD.

Parker J. Palmer is the author of the book "The Courage to Teach" and whose promotion of the concept of "living divided no more" has proven relevant to teaching in academic health centers.
