Betsy Lee, MSPH, BSN, RN

Betsy Lee, MSPH, BSN, RN is an independent contractor and consultant in patient safety, quality improvement, inter-professional collaborative practice, and team vitality. Ms. Lee currently supports the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Partnership for Patients initiative as a contracted Improvement Advisor with Cynosure Health. In this role, she supports the American Hospital Association/Health Research and Educational Trust Hospital Improvement and Innovation Network.

Ms. Lee previously served as the founding director of the Indiana Patient Safety Center at the Indiana Hospital Association. Prior to that role, she was a director for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, where she directed two national quality and safety projects: Achieving Workforce Excellence and Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB). She continues to support statewide TCAB collaboratives in Florida and Arkansas, and is a TeamSTEPPSTM Master Trainer.

Ms. Lee serves as the public member of the Institutional Review Committee and as Chair of the Council of Public Members. She is a member of the Duke University School of Nursing Alumni Council, the steering committee for the Indiana Action Coalition, and the Community Advisory Board of Nurse Family Partnership of Central Indiana. Ms. Lee and her husband, Stephen Bogdewic, live in Carmel, Indiana.
