2022 National Learning Community of Sponsoring Institutions Meeting

The ACGME is pleased to invite designated institutional officials (DIOs), institutional coordinators, and others to the 2022 National Learning Community of Sponsoring Institutions Meeting. The hybrid meeting will be held remotely and in Chicago September 7-8, 2022, and will offer opportunities for participants to learn and connect with other Sponsoring Institution leaders in graduate medical education (GME), with an emphasis on the objectives of the Sponsoring Institution 2025 initiative.

Participants will collaborate through shared educational experiences, explore successful practices to strengthen Sponsoring Institutions and clinical learning environments, and solve challenges together.

The meeting will engage attendees in learning about and sharing transformative innovations in GME, advances in ACGME institutional accreditation and recognition, and alignment with driving forces that will influence the future of US health systems.

The 2022 National Learning Community of Sponsoring Institutions Meeting will build on the Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Program’s experience to move toward shared learning among institutions. This meeting is part of the ACGME’s effort to build the National Learning Community of Sponsoring Institutions, and will be structured to advance three pillars and associated domains for Sponsoring Institutions’ program development:

  1. Demonstrating Commitment to Excellence in Patient Care
  2. Transforming Education through GME Innovation
  3. Optimizing Health Systems for Learning
