Dr. Gabriel Daniels is a hospice and palliative medicine fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed an accelerated BS/MD education through the University of Florida College of Medicine’s Medical Honors Program. He then completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was selected to continue as a chief resident upon graduation. He currently serves as Chair of the ACGME Council of Review Committee Residents, which includes advising the ACGME Board of Directors on the resident/fellow perspective. Before this, he was a member of the Review Committee for Pediatrics and the writing group that revised the ACGME Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Pediatrics. His professional interests include medical education, learner and physician well-being, and pediatric palliative medicine, particularly among the adolescent and young adult oncology population.
