Jessica Bienstock, MD, MPH

Vice Chair, Chair-Elect
Member of the Executive Committee

Dr. Jessica Bienstock is a professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She was the medical student clerkship director for seven years and the residency program director for 16 years for the department of gynecology and obstetrics. She previously served as the senior associate dean for graduate medical education and the designated institutional official at Johns Hopkins for nearly a decade.

Dr. Bienstock previously chaired the ACGME Review Committee for Obstetrics and Gynecology and was elected and served as Chair of the Council of Review Committee Chairs.

Dr. Bienstock’s clinical work focuses on the management of women with high-risk pregnancies. Her work gained national recognition when she cared for the first reported long-term survivor of fetal bilateral renal agenesis treated with serial amnioinfusion, who has since successfully undergone renal transplantation. This work changed the treatment options offered to families facing this previously uniformly fatal fetal diagnosis.
