Learn More About the Conference
The ACGME Annual Educational Conference is the premier gathering for the graduate medical education (GME) community, bringing together more than 5,000 educators, leaders, administrators, learners, and innovators from around the world. Over three days, attendees engage in meaningful learning, professional development, and networking opportunities designed to advance excellence in academic medicine. As the largest conference dedicated to GME, the event fosters collaboration, inspires new ideas, and creates lasting connections that shape the future of medical education.
The 2027 conference will take place February 25-27, in San Antonio, Texas at the Henry B. González Convention Center. Featuring a dynamic lineup of curated educational sessions, the conference offers valuable learning opportunities, innovative ideas, and practical resources for everyone in the GME community, from first-time attendees to established experts and seasoned attendees.
The conference theme of “Meaning in Medicine” highlights the importance of aligning personal and professional values, promoting well-being, and fostering collaboration across the health care community. By striving to enhance resident and fellow education and improve patient care, attendees are empowered to discover – or rediscover – their own sense of purpose and stability in an ever-evolving profession.
Conference attendees will dive into educational sessions on stimulating topics, including ACGME accreditation and initiatives; faculty and professional development; well-being; crisis management; assessment; and many other impactful areas that appeal and apply to all roles in GME. Don’t miss the opportunity to join colleagues from around the world at #ACGME2027 and be part of the largest gathering dedicated to shaping the future of GME!
Registration for the 2027 ACGME Annual Educational Conference will open in late fall 2026.
