Jessica Koran-Scholl, PhD and colleagues presented their work on the impact an obesity bias awareness workshop has on how physicians understand this phenomenon in the Poster Hall at the 2022 ACGME Annual Educational Conference, which was held virtually March 30-April 1, 2022.

Now celebrating its 10^th year of publication, JGME’s presence at the Annual Educational Conference has grown, and this year there are several ways to connect with JGME editors, staff members, and more at next week’s conference in San Diego.

2020 ACGME Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Preston Howard Blomquist, MD is a professor and vice chair for education, as well as a residency program director for ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UT Southwestern).

The ACGME is assisting the residents and fellows displaced by the impending Hahnemann University Hospital (HUH) closure by compiling available positions; communicating with HUH regarding ACGME policy, arranging for the timely transfer of residents/fellows; and making filings with the bankruptcy court.

The second and final tier of Hahnemann University Hospital (HUH) programs will close Tuesday, August 6, 2019. More than 95 percent of residents and fellows have found new positions and most of those not yet placed have received offers.

2023 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Dr. Christine Cho is currently the associate program director and previous program director of the pediatric emergency medicine program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California.

The ACGME is embarking on a full review of its Common Program Requirements in two phases over the next 18 months.
