ACGME President and CEO Dr. Nasca emphasizes the need for a focus on well-being in GME and provides an update on the 80-hour clinical work hours requirement.

The NAM Action Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being and Resilience has released a draft for a National Plan for health workforce well-being and is seeking public input. The plan is intended to provide a roadmap to drive collective action to improve the well-being of the health workforce.

Dr. Nasca and two others received the inaugural National Award for Outstanding Leadership in Support of Clinician Well-Being for their work as co-chairs of the National Academy of Medicine's Action Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being.

Dr. Hamstra was a recipient of the seventh annual John A. Benson Jr., MD Professionalism Article Prize, which recognizes the importance of scholarly publication to advance the field of medical professionalism.

April 18-24 is National Volunteer Week and the ACGME would like to recognize and thank the hundreds of volunteers who offer their time and expertise to further the mission of the ACGME.
