2022 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Vance Sohn, MD, works in strategic operations for US Army Medical Command in the Office of the Surgeon General, US Army. Dr. Sohn specializes in general surgery and surgical oncology. 

Every year in its December issue, the JGME publishes the Top Research Abstracts presented at the International Conference on Residency Education.

2022 GME Institutional Coordinator Award Linda Ortiz Morrison, CHCP, is the senior director, academic affairs and institutional coordinator at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center. 

Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Awardee MaryAnne Wesner, C-TAGME is the GME program manager for the pediatric residency program at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. 

Drs. Lyuba Konopasek, Stuart Slavin, and Timothy Brigham walked participants through the ACGME-developed guidebook, “Well-Being in the Time of COVID-19,” and explored how the ideas within it could be implemented in graduate medical education in their 2021 ACGME Annual Educational Conference session.

2023 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Dr. Richard G. Ellenbogen is the program director and department chair for neurological surgery at the University of Washington.

2022 Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Awardee LaToya Wright currently serves as the institutional administrator at UT Southwestern Medical Center; she was program coordinator for diagnostic radiology, for which she is receiving this award.
