The 2019 ACGME Annual Educational Conference offers so many great educational opportunities that it can be hard to know which sessions to choose. One “must-attend” plenary session focuses on the critically important topic of physician well-being.

As part of its commitment to staff and community well-being, the ACGME is partnering with Hope For The Day, a Chicago-based non-profit organization dedicated to mental health support and suicide prevention.

2022 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Vance Sohn, MD, works in strategic operations for US Army Medical Command in the Office of the Surgeon General, US Army. Dr. Sohn specializes in general surgery and surgical oncology. 

2022 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Lead Awardee Dr. Joann Porter, MD, FACP is the designated institutional official (DIO) and associate dean for GME at Creighton University School of Medicine. 

This year, the Journal of Graduate Medical Education (JGME) is encouraging authors to create visual abstracts for accepted articles and providing resources to help.

2021 Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Awardee Adam Finney is a program coordinator for child neurology and pediatric epilepsy at the University of Colorado.
