The ACGME is honored to recognize the 2026 recipients of the ACGME Awards! The ACGME Awards recognize notable individuals, programs, and organizations for their outstanding work and contributions to graduate medical education.

These resources were compiled to support local efforts to improve resident, fellow, and faculty member well-being and help physicians in distress as part of the ACGME's commitment to promoting physican well-being.

The ACGME is assisting the residents and fellows displaced by the impending Hahnemann University Hospital (HUH) closure by compiling available positions; communicating with HUH regarding ACGME policy, arranging for the timely transfer of residents/fellows; and making filings with the bankruptcy court.

As increasing rates of stress, depression, and fatigue fuel concern about physician well-being, the ACGME, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and Mayo Clinic today launched an initiative to prevent physician and medical trainee suicides.

The second and final tier of Hahnemann University Hospital (HUH) programs will close Tuesday, August 6, 2019. More than 95 percent of residents and fellows have found new positions and most of those not yet placed have received offers.
