Recognizes strategies that lead to measurable improvements in patient safety, demonstrated through innovative solutions and initiatives.

Recognizes in-depth understanding of the accreditation process, excellent communication skills, and projects to improve graduate medical education programs.

Recognizes in-depth knowledge of graduate medical education and institutional review processes.  

Recognizes the work of DIOs with strong leadership and astute resource management in innovation and improvement in graduate medical education programs and their Sponsoring Institutions. 

Recognizes program directors who have fostered innovation and improvement in graduate medical education programs and who serve as role models for their residents/fellows.  

Recognizes projects that exemplify innovative and creative strategies for cultivating leadership grounded in humanistic values in graduate medical education (GME).

Recognizes ethical practices, integrity, and commitment to patient-centered care.  

Granted in collaboration with the New York Academy of Medicine, the fellowship supports junior faculty members in internal medicine with a commitment to develop a program that enhances this fundamental element of clinical care through education innovation.
