The Commonwealth Medical College Bestows Honorary Doctor of Medical Arts Degree to ACGME CEO Thomas J. Nasca, MD, MACP

The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC) recently awarded ACGME CEO Thomas J. Nasca, MD, MACP an honorary Doctor of Medical Arts degree at its commencement ceremony in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Nasca, who served as principal speaker at the ceremony, was chosen to receive the degree for his leadership in American medicine and early involvement in advising the founders of TCMC.

"Dr. Nasca is a major figure in American medicine. He has brought visionary leadership and clarity of purpose to the council that oversees all residency programs, and has reoriented that process to align with the exciting new developments in medical education," said Steven J. Scheinman, MD, TCMC president and dean.
