ACGME Introduces ACGME Cloud Accreditation

August 24, 2026

The ACGME is advancing its digital transformation efforts with the development of the next addition to the ACGME Cloud platform. ACGME Cloud Accreditation will support accreditation and recognition activities across the graduate medical education (GME) community. Expected to launch in July 2027, it will replace the current Accreditation Data System (ADS), providing a streamlined, user-centered experience for those who engage with ACGME accreditation- and recognition-related functions and requirements.

ACGME Cloud Accreditation is designed to preserve the core processes and workflows that GME stakeholders rely on today in an intuitive cloud-based environment. It will bring together accreditation- and recognition-related activities with improved navigation and enhanced reporting capabilities.

This development is part of the broader ACGME Cloud platform, which provides technology solutions to reduce administrative burden, improve access to data and analytics, and support informed decision making across GME. The goal is to help stakeholders spend less time on administrative processes and more time focusing on education and patient care.

The move to ACGME Cloud will retain foundational elements familiar to current ADS users, who will continue to conduct core accreditation/recognition functions and to access records and key historical data, while benefitting from enhanced access to information and reporting capabilities.

Between now and the launch, the ACGME will engage the GME community with informational resources, role-specific updates, user engagement and training opportunities, and other support.

Find more details about this next development in the ACGME Cloud Accreditation Overview and access other information and resources on the ACGME Cloud Support page.
