The ACGME is proud to announce the release of the latest edition of its annual Data Resource Book. This comprehensive resource provides the graduate medical education (GME) community and the public with the latest GME data covering the period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.

The ACGME welcomes Mary E. Klingensmith, MD as the Senior Vice President, Accreditation. Dr. Klingensmith will oversee the accreditation process and standards for ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs across the country.

These new requirements that all accredited US residency and fellowship programs follow in preparing today's physicians for practice reinforce a culture of patient safety and physician well-being by focusing on patient-centered, team-based care.

On July 8, 2019, the ACGME filed a response in the United States Bankruptcy Court regarding the Hahnemann University Hospital closure. A hearing on the motion is scheduled for July 16, 2019. (Updated July 11, 2019.)
