The ACGME has updated its Procedures for Alleged Egregious Events to address how it will rapidly respond to alleged non-compliance with the four prevailing COVID-19 priority requirements, including the addition of a public sanction.

This edition of the ACGME's e-Communication includes information on ACGME Board actions, the new Emergency and Non-Emergency Category designations for programs dealing with an influx of COVID-19 patients, calls for resident and public members for Review Committees, and more.

2020 ACGME Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Preston Howard Blomquist, MD is a professor and vice chair for education, as well as a residency program director for ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UT Southwestern).

2023 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Dr. Shashank Kraleti is the program director for family medicine, primary care and population health service line director, and vice-chair for clinical affairs at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. 

2020 ACGME David C. Leach Awardee David Valentine, MD is a fellow in clinical neurophysiology at New York University’s Langone Health.
