Eight Sponsoring Institutions will participate in the Pursuing Excellence in Clinical Learning Environments initiative announced earlier this year. The four-year initiative is aimed at driving improvements within clinical learning environments.

The ACGME is pleased to present the CLER National Report of Findings 2022: The COVID-19 Pandemic and Its Impact on the Clinical Learning Environment. The ACGME’s Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Program provides formative feedback through site visits that explore six Focus Areas.

Teams of Pathway Innovators and Pathway Leaders attended Learning Sessions to share their experiences and advance the projects they initiated at their institutions.

The New York Academy of Medicine, in collaboration with the ACGME, awards the Jeremiah A. Barondess Fellowship in the Clinical Transaction, which supports junior faculty members in internal medicine with a commitment to develop a program that enhances this fundamental element of clinical care through education innovation.

This four-year initiative is designed to promote transformative improvement within the clinical learning environments of ACGME-accredited Sponsoring Institutions in which resident and fellow physicians pursue their formal clinical training education.

The Version 2.0 of CLER Pathways to Excellence: Expectations for an Optimal Clinical Learning Environment to Achieve Safe and High-Quality Patient Care, has been published.
