The health and safety of attendees, exhibitors, and personnel is always the ACGME’s top priority. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect travel and large group gatherings, the ACGME has decided to host the 2022 Annual Educational Conference virtually. This decision aligns with organizational priorities and the ACGME’s continued commitment to protecting public health.
The ACGME is pleased to invite the graduate medical education (GME) community to the 2022 ACGME Annual Educational Conference. The now all-virtual conference will take place from March 30-April 1, 2022.
This year’s theme, Meaning in Medicine: Rebuilding Connections, highlights the importance of coming together as a GME community to rebuild, restore, and reflect on what the past year has meant for health care and academic medicine. This GME community has collaborated as people, institutions, learners, and teachers during this historic time. To effectively prepare for what lies ahead, the connections among peers and colleagues are more important than ever. Together, academic medicine has continued to adapt to changes and challenges, and to grow, innovate, teach, lead, and learn while maintaining unity and a shared vision of the responsibility for leading and shaping the future of medicine. As health care professionals and clinicians, no one can do this work alone. It is the GME community’s connections, partnerships, and collective values that will drive change.
The 2022 Annual Educational Conference’s content will cover ACGME accreditation, recognition, and initiatives; diversity, equity, and inclusion; faculty and professional development; well-being; crisis management; assessment; COVID-19; and many other impactful and forward-thinking learning initiatives and topics.
Over the course of three days, thousands of attendees will engage and connect with colleagues from across GME, with opportunities for learning and networking. As the ACGME’s signature learning event, the conference will feature content and resources that appeal and apply to all roles in GME and all those passionate about education and collaboration.
Conference registration will open later this fall.
