March 18 marked the second annual Health Workforce Well-Being Day, sponsored by the National Academy of Medicine, a day recognizing the critical issue of health worker burnout. This year, ACGME leadership proudly participated in the celebratory event on March 17.

Theodore Corbin and Selwyn Rogers, in a panel conversation entitled “Healing from Trauma: Impacts on the Health Care Community," moderated by ACGME Chief Accreditation and Recognition Officer Lynne M. Kirk, MD, MACP.

2021 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee John F. McConville, MD is the internal medicine program director at the University of Chicago. He specializes in pulmonology and critical care.

During a Featured Plenary at #ACGME2023 entitled Preparing Learners to Care for Patients and Communities Experiencing Substance Use Disorder, Charlene M. Dewey, MD, MEd, FACP, Stephen Loyd, MD, and Jeanette Tetrault, MD, FACP, FASAM discussed their unique experiences in treating and creating learning environments for physicians and other care practitioners to treat substance use disorder (SUD).
