Former ACGME President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas J. Nasca, MD, MACP has received the 2025 Special Recognition Award, presented by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), for his nearly two decades leading the ACGME and advancing graduate medical education. Dr. Nasca has had a long connection to the AAMC through his collaborative efforts at the ACGME and during his tenure as Dean of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
The AAMC's awards recognize exceptional achievements in and outstanding contributions to advancing medical education, cutting-edge patient care, groundbreaking research, and community engagement.
