If you’ll be joining us for the first time at the ACGME Annual Educational Conference, welcome! You’re about to take part in a memorable experience filled with opportunities to learn from leaders, engage with more than 5,000 other members of the graduate medical education (GME) community, and discover new ideas that will shape your work and your impact.
Whether you're a resident, fellow, faculty member, coordinator, or institutional leader, this conference is designed to help you grow, both professionally and personally. With more than 130 sessions, hands-on activities, and countless opportunities to connect, #ACGME2026 is more than just a conference - it’s a chance to be part of something bigger.
Make the Most of Your Experience
The ACGME team has put together a comprehensive list to help first-time attendees prepare — from registration and travel tips to on-site planning. With so much educational content, there is a lot to take in. Prioritize sessions that align with your goals and interests and leave room for spontaneous conversations and downtime.
Here are a few highlights to keep in mind:
- Use the Conference Mobile App: Plan your schedule, explore sessions, and navigate the venue with ease. The Conference Mobile App will be available closer to the conference, and you’ll get an email with download instructions!
- Know What’s Included: Your registration covers meals, sessions, well-being activities, networking events, and more — as well as CME credits and access to session materials.
- Book Your Hotel ASAP After Registering: Rooms in the ACGME block go fast, and booking through the official link (in your registration confirmation email) ensures you get the best rate.
Connections Matter
One of the most powerful aspects of the Annual Educational Conference is the opportunity to connect with others who share your passion for medical education. Whether you're attending a Full-Day Course or one of the conference concurrent sessions, hanging at the Puppy Park Yappy Hour, or engaging with ACGME staff members at the ACGME Hub in the Exhibit Hall, every moment provides a chance to learn something from someone new.
These connections can lead to collaborations, mentorships, and friendships that last well beyond the conference. So don’t be shy — introduce yourself, ask questions, and share your experiences.
Hear from previous attendees about their conference experiences through an interview series here on the ACGME Blog.
