NEW! Stakeholder Survey for Nuclear Medicine Requirements Revision

As it develops the revised Program Requirements, the Nuclear Medicine Writing Group developed a survey to solicit stakeholder input in several key areas from those involved in nuclear medicine programs, as well as from programs in the following specialties/subspecialties:

  • endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism
  • interventional cardiology
  • medical oncology
  • neurology
  • radiation oncology
  • urology

Responses are due October 8, 2025.

FRIDAY! Major Revision of the Institutional Requirements - Public Surveys

The Institutional Review Committee (IRC) has released two topics-based surveys to support the major revision of the Institutional Requirements.

Survey 1 closes this Friday, September 5, and addresses designated institutional official (DIO) and institutional coordinator roles, and oversight.

As it develops the revised Program Requirements, the Transitional Year Writing Group developed a survey to solicit stakeholder input in several key areas from those involved in transitional year programs, as well as from programs in specialties that require a fundamental clinical skill year, including:

  • aerospace medicine
  • anesthesiology
  • dermatology
  • diagnostic radiology
  • interventional radiology - integrated
  • nuclear medicine
  • occupational and environmental medicine
  • ophthalmology
  • osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine
  • physical medicine and rehabilitation
  • public health and general preventive medicine
  • radiation oncology

Responses are due September 9, 2025.

Crosswalk Documents to Be Removed

As announced in February, and effective July 1, 2025, all ACGME Requirements documents have been reformatted. The ACGME provided crosswalk documents mapping old reference numbers to new ones for each set of Requirements. The crosswalk documents will be removed from the ACGME website on September 12, 2025.

Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Case Log Graduate Statistics National Report

The national Case Log graduate statistics reports for the specialty are now available to osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine programs in the Accreditation Data System (ADS). The 2023-2024 national report can also be accessed through the reports section of the public version of ADS. Future academic year reports will be made available once the Case Log data is finalized.

TWO WEEKS! ACGME Seeks IRC Nominations

The IRC seeks two new DIO members. Candidates must be current or previous DIOs and they may self-nominate or be nominated by individuals or organizations. The new committee members' terms will begin July 1, 2026, and end June 30, 2032.
