The ACGME is pleased to announce that Dr. Elisa (Lisa) Crouse will be the organization’s new Senior Vice President, Institutional and Program Accreditation. The ACGME has updated its Procedures for Alleged Egregious Events to address how it will rapidly respond to alleged non-compliance with the four prevailing COVID-19 priority requirements, including the addition of a public sanction.

The ACGME has developed a process to allow accredited programs to request Program Emergency Categorization when planned resident/fellow experiences are disrupted due to a local epidemic/pandemic surge.
