The ACGME, AACOM, AAMC, ABMS, AOA, and ECFMG have released three toolkits designed to aid programs and learners as they progress through disrupted years of the medical education continuum.

The ACGME welcomes Mary E. Klingensmith, MD as the Senior Vice President, Accreditation. Dr. Klingensmith will oversee the accreditation process and standards for ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs across the country.

The ACGME invoked its Extraordinary Circumstances Policy (ACGME Policies and Procedures, Section 21.00) following the closure announcement for Ohio Valley Medical Center (OVMC), a participating site for ACGME-accredited residency programs. 

The proposed revisions to Section VI of its Common Program Requirements are open for public comment over the next 45 days. The Requirements provide uniform standards for all accredited US residency and fellowship programs.
