Dr. Andolsek is a professor of community and family medicine with a joint appointment in the Duke School of Nursing and an adjunct appointment at the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is an Assistant Dean of Premedical Education at Duke. She received her BS, MD, and MPH degrees from Northwestern University.

Following a family medicine residency at Duke, she worked with the National Health Service Corps at a community health center in inner city Chicago. She then returned to Duke, where she was family medicine residency director, Division Chief, and associate director of Duke Graduate Medical Education. She has collaborated with GME colleagues in the US, Singapore, Canada, Austria, eastern Europe, and the UAE. She served as course director for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) DIO/GME Leadership Course, and as chair of the AAMC Group on Residency Affairs. She is an associate editor of the Journal of Graduate Medical Education and Vice President of the North Carolina Physicians Health Program’s Board of Directors.

She continues to learn best from her children: a national board-certified teacher [public grade school music], an actor, an innovations consultant, and an orthopaedic resident.
