A Day Curated for Coordinators at #ACGME2027: The 17th Annual Coordinator Forum
Want an opportunity to connect with other coordinators and learn tips and tricks from other graduate medical education (GME) professionals who know what you deal with daily?
Now in its 17th year, the Coordinator Forum is one of the most anticipated gatherings for program and institutional coordinators at the ACGME Annual Educational Conference. Each year, this Full-Day Course offers coordinators in all roles and from all experience levels an opportunity to connect, learn, and share with peers from across the country.
A Day Curated for Coordinators
The 2027 Coordinator Forum, themed Navigating with Confidence, continues the tradition of practical skills and empowered community for coordinators. All new breakout sessions will offer tips to help newer coordinators build skills quickly and experienced coordinators address gaps in their expertise.
Two Plenary Sessions from Experienced Leaders
The 2027 Coordinator Forum will include plenary sessions led by veteran leaders in the GME community who will share their professional journeys and insights on leadership and collaboration:
From Chaos to Confidence: Lessons Learned During My GME Journey
Beth Wueste, PhD, MAEd
Attendees will leave with tools to improve communication, navigate conflict, manage workplace stress, and strengthen their effectiveness as leaders within complex GME environments.
Enhancing Well-Being: Managing Toxic Perfectionism and Other Self-Critical Mindsets
Stuart Slavin, MD, MEd
Participants will learn to identify self-critical mindsets in the workplace and apply evidence-based techniques to counteract them.
Breakout Sessions Tailored to Your Needs
In addition to the plenaries, a range of breakout sessions allow attendees to find information directly related to their coordinator role and path. Developed from community submissions from the coordinator community and reviewed by the ACGME’s Coordinator Advisory Group, these sessions provide a robust and well-rounded agenda for the day, with several options from which coordinators can select sessions of interest.
Why Sign Up?
The Coordinator Forum fills up fast! Coordinators return again and again to this forum because of the unique value and lessons they can learn each year. This full day is designed by coordinators for coordinators to share new perspectives, practices, and tools, and make meaningful connections with other coordinators in the GME community.
Here is what last year’s attendees had to say about the forum:
“I appreciated how centered the session was on the coordinator’s role. It makes you feel like you belong somewhere. You can feel the respect for the work we do.”
“The content was practical and directly relevant to my role as a coordinator. The speakers were engaging and approachable, creating an environment where questions and discussion felt encouraged.”
