ADS Annual Update Schedule
The Accreditation Data System (ADS) Annual Update for the 2026-2027 Academic Year will be collected between July and September 2026, and Sponsoring Institutions and programs will receive an initial notification email at the beginning of the reporting window noting all Annual Update requirements and their respective deadlines. Each Annual Update timeframe will appear by July 1 in the Sponsoring Institution's or program's profile in ADS, in the "Important Dates" column on the right-hand side.

Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Procedural Minimums Posted
The Review Committee for Orthopaedic Surgery has established procedural log minimums for orthopaedic sports medicine fellowships, now available on the Case Log Information page of the Orthopaedic Surgery section of the ACGME website.
The ACGME Case Log System is expected to be updated in September, with the new minimums in effect retroactively to July 1 for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 1. Cases entered between July 1 and September 22, 2026 will automatically be mapped according to the new minimums. The mapping delay in ADS is to ensure programs are able to archive procedural logs from the 2025-2026 academic year.
The new procedural minimums will not be enforced until review of 2028 graduate data to allow programs time to acclimate. All procedural logs entered from August 1, 2026 through July 30, 2028 will be treated as trial period data only. Following this period, the Review Committee may adjust the minimums accordingly. While it is not anticipated that programs will have difficulty meeting the new minimums, any challenges should be addressed in the Major Changes and Other Updates section of the ADS Annual Update.
