Bonnie Simpson Mason, MD has joined the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) as Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion.

2022-2024 Jeremiah A. Barondess Fellow Danielle L. Clark, MD is a hospitalist, assistant professor of medicine, and associate program director for the internal medicine residency program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Clark specializes in internal medicine.

The collaborative is third in a series to engage residents and fellows, improve their ability to provide quality health care.

Associate Program Director Kimberly Collins, MD of Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida set out to see how simulating conversations about social determinants of health (as opposed to in-class learning or immersion-based training) affected a resident’s or fellow’s ability to broach and explore these complex, often sensitive, subjects with patients and their parents. Her results are recorded in her poster: Improving Resident Comfort with Discussing Social Determinants of Health through Simulation.

The ACGME responded to a letter from the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, updating the committee on the steps the ACGME is taking to address racial health inequities in the United States.
